Operation T-Bone Auction results
There were 291 fat cattle sold at the Operation T-Bone Auction held on Tuesday, Aug. 6 at the Anita Livestock Auction in Anita, from 10 consignors, with Bernard Vais as Auctioneer.
The first cattle in the ring were the 32 T-Bone steers weighing 1673 lbs. The steers brought $194.50 cwt. (per hundred weight) and were sold to Tyson.
Other packer buyers included Nebraska Beef and National Beef. Top steers sold by Dave and Gary Sporrer, 37 steers weighing 1568 lbs., brought $197.00 cwt. Gleason Farms sold 38 steers weighing 1502 lbs., brought $197.00 cwt.
Other consignors included Craig Eshelman, Eric Gross, Warren Evans, Myles McDermott, Rainbow Valley Farms, Dr. Dallas Dinkla and Brian and Mike Bruch.
